They also open the way to smuggling compartments, which are hidden areas dotted throughout the ship, which are also time gated for each week. But it's to be expected given how DS3 also lacked an FP regen ring. How to unlock the Presage collectables and open Smuggling Compartments throughout the ship.ĭestiny 2's Captain's Logs are lore collectables you can find by completing the Presage mission.Īlso described as cryptic notes, there's a new Captain's Log available each week, helping you complete several objectives - including Bound in Memory and Graven Scrawl. I just wish there was an FP variant, especially given there are more ways than ever to spend FP in this game (WA's, spells, consumables and spirits). It's not going to let you swap to full Cerulean Flasks and tank through bosses, but it's some nice healing for PvE until you get into end-game and can get the better healing talismans from the last areas of the game (Taker's Cameo and Godskin Swaddling Cloth) which will serve you better when in combat and against enemies that like to chunk for 50%+ health. Overall, it can save a few flask usages by ticking away as you explore an area healing up any chip damage you might have taken from random "Surprise!" enemies that are rather popular in this game (Especially hiding imps everywhere in catacombs). It's available as soon as you get Torrent, since you can just run past the Giant and loot the chest and then run back to the site of grace. And most players aim for 40-60 vigor at which other Talismans are a lot better. you do not feel the impact of this Talisman when you hit get close to 40 vigor. For bossfights, you switch this Talisman out for a better one that doesn't work well in the overworld. Awesome for beginners who have estus issues as well. If you rarely get hit and/or want to use way more spells while doing overworld content. It also means longer excursions without resting which keeps the flow better if you are getting (too) good at the game. A secondary use is PvE in the overworld, and topping off estus heals that didn't top you off, but almost. A immediate buff it gives: if you pair it with Bestial vitality or the Mix effect, you pretty much cancel out the normal poison effect and really dampen Rot damage over time. Yet I find myself using it time after time again. A lot of people had a lot of good arguments on why NOT to use this Talisman. This Talisman is a standard part of my kit in the early to midgame. ![]()
